The time between New Year’s Day and Easter is the longest of the school year. My student teaching advisor told us this before sending us out to classrooms. (She also told us not to smile until Thanksgiving. But that’s another tale.) Sure enough. No matter whether Easter falls in early March or late April, that part of the school year drags on.

When I left the classroom to teach my children at home I was sure this phenomenon would not occur. I was wrong. Those winter months were still painfully slow. If you’ve homeschooled for more than one year you know what I’m talking about.

I’m not sure the reason. It could be that advertising for bathing suits begins the day after Christmas. Or maybe it’s the dreary days. Could be everyone is cooped up. Some of us start feeling panicked because we haven’t completed enough of the textbook.

I could give you a litany of cures for our children or our family. But we moms sometimes need a little more, something different. We need to connect with Learn more A New Year, Your Best Year Conference for momsother moms. We need encouragement from moms who have trudged through these long days. We need a bubble bath and chocolate.

Well, I can’t help with the bubble bath. I can offer a suggestion for connection and encouragement: A New Year, Your Best Year: 2019 Conference for Moms.

A New Year, Your Best Year offers the benefits similar to an in-person conference (and I recommend those as well). A great line of speakers, topics from budgeting to planning to marriage, and a goodie bag. The best part is you can get all of this without leaving home.

The online conference includes video sessions from more than ninety speakers with 175 plus workshop sessions. Attendees receive access to an exclusive Facebook group to chat with the speakers, sponsors, and each other. Oh yeah, did I mention a goodie bag of freebies?

The cat brought a gift of a mouse and the kiddos want to have a dissection project? Don’t worry. You won’t miss a thing. Lifetime access to the sessions is included in the registration. Later in the year when you need another boost, find your favorite sessions or one you missed and watch it.

I said the best part was you don’t have to leave home. I was wrong. The best part is the cost. $20 for the entire conference and perks. Can you imagine having access to workshops by Rachael Carmen, Hal and Melanie Young, Katie Horner, Geno Mayo, and more for only $20? And no travel expenses.

To make the best even better by taking advantage of early-bird pricing, you get all of this for $15 dollars. Early-bird registration begins December 26 and continues until January 3, 2019.

The internet has many downfalls. One of the upsides is connections. No matter where we live or what may be going on in our families we can reach out and touch someone. Don’t miss this opportunity to refresh yourself and encourage others.

Register today for A New Year, Your Best Year: 2019 Conference for Moms.
